How to Detect Analog Stick Drift
Analog stick drift occurs when your controller registers movement even when you aren't touching the thumbsticks. You can use our tool to diagnose stick drift easily:
- Check Neutral Values: Leave both analog sticks completely untouched. The X and Y axis values should ideally read 0.00.
- Identify Drift: If your stick coordinates fluctuate (e.g., resting at 0.15 or -0.20), your controller has active stick drift or a worn-out deadzone.
- Test Trigger Precision: Analog triggers (LT/RT or L2/R2) display gradual values from 0.00 to 1.00, allowing you to test pressure sensitivity for racing games.
